Colombian Coal Exports Drop in May

Colombian coal exports eased by 500,000 metric tons (mt) month-on-month to 6.7 million metric tons in May, Montel reported. Citing trade data, “Most of the monthly decline was due to lower exports to the Far East Asia, down from 1.8 million mt in April to 800,000 mt in May. However, combined exports to the Americas and Europe were up 400,000 mt month-on-month to 5.9 million mt in May.”
