“Creating a joint service center will enable Yakutugol to cut maintenance costs and set up the technical base for a large-scale production increase at Yakutugol and the Elga coal deposit,” said Mikhail Urvantsev, vice president for commercial activities, Mechel.

ElgaBelAvto will meet the maintenance needs of Yakutugol’s two largest coal open pits—Neryungrinsky and Elga—which include more than 140 mining haul trucks. ElgaBelAvto will begin work between Q4 2013 and into Q1 2014.
