The Hobo MX2001 offers a number of additional features to streamline water level data collection: It features a non-vented design for convenient and hassle-free deployment, an integrated barometric pressure sensor that eliminates the need to post-process data, and user-replaceable double-A batteries that last up to a year in the field. It also has a durable ceramic pressure sensor that can withstand harsh underwater environments.

The free HOBO mobile app makes it simple to configure Hobo MX2001 water level loggers and manage the collected data in the field. Using a mobile phone or tablet, users can enter reference water levels, view level data, check logger status, share data files for analysis in spreadsheets, and store data in the cloud. Users can also select alternate logging modes, such as multiple-rate sampling, which allows faster sampling at critical times, like when pumping starts or stops.
