Doheny was elected to the board of directors on December 3. Previously, he served as executive vice president and as COO for Joy Global’s underground equipment division since 2006. The company, in turn, announced that Randal W. Baker will become COO; Baker will oversee the surface mining equipment and the underground equipment divisions. He had served as surface mining COO since 2009.
Board Chair John Nils Hanson praised Doheny’s commitment to “building the future direction of Joy Global around key strategies, including product leadership, direct service and enhanced customer partnerships.”
