Teck Resources reported second quarter metallurgical coal sales of 6.3 million metric tons (mt), which was within the company’s previously announced guidance of 6.3 – 6.7 million mt. Record met coal FOB prices resulted in an increase in the average realized price in the second quarter to $453/mt. Teck said it expects to record provisional pricing adjustments of negative $73 million in the quarter due to the decline in coal prices at quarter end.
