The EPA has recommended the state government not give approval to the project, saying it posed an unacceptably high risk to species within the South Eneabba Nature Reserve and the Lake Logue Nature Reserve. The EPA said it could not find an alternative which did not pose a threat to the long term viability of important species in the area.
