Evans Coal controls coal reserves in excess of 348 million tons, translating into reserves of 211 million tons of recoverable coal.
“We plan to continue the operations of Evans Coal as a wholly owned subsidiary of Americas Energy Company,” said Chris Headrick, president and CEO, Americas Energy. The purchase includes the Highway 92 project and the Artemus project as well as a substantial coal reserve property in Breathitt County, Ky.
“We have also acquired permits from Evans Coal that will allow us to, as contracts are placed, increase our monthly coal production to approximately 100,000 tons per month,” Headrick said.
