The new 4,500 ton per hour conveyor system, which will be 13.8 km long, is part of a mine expansion program. New coal stockpiles, with capacity of nearly 1 million tons, will be reclaimed at a rate of up to 7,500 tons per hour for ship loading. Target completion date of the project is the fourth quarter of 2011, and will be delivered under a full turn-key contract.
This latest project is just one of many that R&S has been awarded in Indonesia, including projects in South Sumatra, Central Java, Irian Jaya and Sumbawa. The company has maintained its operation in Indonesia since 1992.
