Irwin Car and Equipment, which engineers and manufactures custom heavy-duty material handling equipment, has purchased Traction Motor Service (TMS), a full-service railroad motor repair center based in Irwin, Pa. TMS specializes in the electro-mechanical repairing, rebuilding, rewinding and remanufacturing of AC and DC traction motors. “By integrating TMS’s experience and production capabilities with our operations, we are able to service more than 30 types of motors,” said Bill Baker, president and CEO of Irwin Car and Equipment.
