Shenhua Shendong was the first Chinese coal company to achieve annual output of 100 million metric tons (mt) in China and achieved 200 million mt of coal in 2011 with mines located in the Shanxi province and Inner Mongolia. Shenhua Shendong is the largest subsidiary of the Shenhua Group.
“Sandvik already has 26 bolter miners in operation in Shenua Shendong’s sites, and another three units are currently in the process of being delivered. By 2013, the Sandvik bolter miner fleet in Shendong will comprise a total of 50 units. This demonstrates Sandvik’s capability to provide productive solutions to the coal industry in line with Sandvik Mining’s long term strategy,” said Gary Hughes, president, Sandvik Mining.
According to Sandvik, the Bolter Miners have a very strong safety and performance record in Chinese coal mines and Shenhua Shendong chose these machines for their high productivity, long service life and low total costs.
