Carlson announced C-ALS HD for advanced 3D laser mapping and high-definition visualization. The successor to the C-ALS Gyro, the auto-scanning laser system sets new industry standards by offering enhanced visual inspection capabilities and accurate 3D underground mapping functionality, Carlson said.

With an advanced, high-definition camera and an 874-lumen spotlight, the C-ALS HD offers up to 25 m of visibility, allowing the identification of potential hazards, structural issues, or areas of concern. Other features include a new slip ring drum for quicker and integrated cable deployment, and joystick control for free-motion control to inspect and locate points of interest.

The development comes as Carlson celebrates 40 years with a series of new releases.
