Westmoreland Robert P. King praised the “significant” benefit for the Montana mine offering “increased profitability and improved quality for the customer.”
The amendment extends the original term agreement for the lignite supply to the Lewis & Clark Station through the end of 2017. The contract also stipulates that the Savage mine will keep supplying Lewis & Clark Station lignite annually, which, at some 300,000 tons a year, is its traditional requirement.
