Xstrata declared force majeure on coal deliveries from its Ulan mine in Australia after water leaked into the underground production area following heavy January rains, Dow Jones reported. The mine, located in the western coalfields of New South Wales, has an annual output capacity of 4 million metric tons of thermal coal and much of its production is exported.
