According to Xinhua Online, the first phase of No. 2 eastern opencast mine in Datang Shengli coalfield in Xilingol is planned with 10 million mtpy capacity and it will triple in a decade. The geologic reserves will total 4.1 billion mt. The mine will work for 125 years. In addition, Suancigou coal mine and coal preparation plant designed with 12 million mtpy capacity boasts 2.4 billion mt of geologic reserves. The coal mine will have an 82.3 year life. In addition, auxiliary facilities are designed with 12 million mtpy capacity. The coal preparation plant and coal mine will come online concurrently.
