Jim Taylor, president of the University of Cumberlands, and Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York, presented the award to Biggerstaff. Biggerstaff trained the Black Mountain White Team from Alpha’s southern Kentucky business unit, which took top honors at the national mine rescue competition in October.
