Professor Jerry Tien will serve as the instructor. A Diesel Particulate Matter Workshop will be held March 16-17, 2010, at the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 513 Training Site near St. Louis, Mo. (See the calendar listing below). The purpose of the 1.5-day workshop is to provide mine operators with detailed technical information on available DPM control that can be used to reduce emissions. Tien will also hold the popular Practical Mine Ventilation Design and Control at MS&T April 28-30, 2010. This three-day course will provide participants with a sufficient background to design and maintain an underground ventilation system.
