Three Top Performers are awarded, by cutting height, on the basis of average raw longwall production per day, total production and the mine’s overall safety record. The award consists of an 8-inch medallion sculpted by Gary Prazen mounted on a walnut plaque. Tickets for the luncheon are still available and proceeds go to the Pittsburgh section of SME.
