In all, AEP seeks up to 300,000 tons of coal, barge-delivered, beginning in Q3 2013 through Q4. The company also seeks spot and term proposals for up to 1 million tons of coal annually, delivered by rail or barge, beginning in Q1 2014 through as late as Q4 2015. Alternative proposals, according to company officials, will also be considered.
