thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions opened a service center in Brisbane, Australia, to support its customer base on the East Coast of Australia and in Oceania. To accommodate 30 employees, the $700,000 center includes a 350-m2 office and a 1,000-m2 warehouse. It will be used to service wear and spare parts, and conduct equipment refurbishments and engineering revamps.

Leadership at the company reported the facility will enable the company to pair certain engineering and project staffers with service personnel. “For our clients in the mining, cement and chemical industries this means they benefit from an integrated project life-cycle approach, incorporating the latest products and technologies,” said Andrew Howie, CEO, thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions Australia.
