The SGS/Raven Ridge team has the capability to fully measure and define methane production potential contained in coalbeds and surrounding strata. This includes the ability to:
• Delineate, map and quantify the gas resources and reserves associated with coal;
• Forecast CBM and CMM production potential;
• Design CMM projects and assist in establishing greenhouse gas accounting measures to qualify for emission credits created from methane recovered, used/destroyed and hence not liberated during the coal mining life cycle; and
• Recommend best practices for CMM drainage in underground coal mines to promote safe and healthy working conditions.
