“The second contract with Temirtau Kazakhstan confirms that Famur’s proprietary solutions for the mining industry fully comply with its customer’s expectations,” said Szymon Jarno, FAMUR deputy CEO of export sales, during the commissioning of the machines by the Kazakh partners. “The market for machinery and equipment in the mining industry is extremely demanding and each project involves individual adaptations to the equipment for the specific mining and geological conditions in each mine.” Famur placed longwall mining equipment with the mine in 2012 and now this installation will begin operating soon.

The ArcelorMittal Kazakhstan contract follows on the heels of other significant orders for Famur in 2014, which include the delivery of longwall systems; auxiliary equipment and spare parts to Hattat Enerji Ve Maden TIC A.S in Turkey; design, delivery, assembly supervision, commissioning and staff training of the complete coal handling system with the Indonesian company PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara; and longwall systems, auxiliary equipment and spare parts to the Russian company OAO SUEK-Kuzbass.
