The PROTOid rfidDrawer is designed specifically to create tool accountability with users, giving them total control over their entire toolbox. The system is an RFID-enabled mobile tool chest, with plug-and-play functionality for rapid deployment. The unit comes complete with 215 PROTOid industrial hand tools embedded with RFID chips, and 15 employee badges. To remove a tool, an authorized user simply self-authenticates with their badge and is given access to the cabinet.
Inside the cabinet, the PROTOid tools are held in organized precision cut foam inserts. Once the user removes the necessary tool and closes the drawer, the system automatically records the transaction and shows what tools were removed, and who is now responsible for the tool. Upon returning the tool, the system again updates automatically to show the tool is now back in its place. Total tool accountability has never been easier.
