This full-thrust coupling unit is lubricated and encased in neoprene, which equates to less maintenance and breakdown issues. The flexibility of the springs means it can operate up to 25° more than either a universal or CV joint, and it’s directly connected from input to output, so it is the only coupling that can take full thrust. The use of two springs gives the unit a multidirectional capability, offering the same amount of thrust in either direction.
