Brookville displayed its 8-man maintenance unit with a 3,200-lb crane and 120VAC (two 15-amp outlets) inverter. The machine features a 110-hp Cummins 4.5 engine mated to a ceramic DPF filter with a Brookville-designed exhaust dilutor for use in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. This unit was custom designed for Allegheny Metallurgical’s Longview mine in Volga, West Virginia. Based on a standard Brookville platform, it features a 9-ton light duty locomotive rating and includes planetary axles, wet disc brakes, and the Jackwalker rerailing system. This unit’s cargo could include other maintenance component options like a mini rockduster, fuel buffalo, or belt maintenance attachments.
