Mining is Critical Infrastructure

There are two types of companies in America — those who have been hacked and those who don’t know they’ve been hacked. The gravity of this statement is even more troubling for the mining industry and your role in the nation’s critical infrastructure. The connection between coal and critical infrastructure should be obvious — imagine the chaos and panic that would arise if large American cities were deprived of electrical power for weeks on end. Running water and transportation systems would fail, businesses would close, and food shortages would begin.
