Coal imports into China during June rose 12% year-on-year, according to Reuters. The country imported 44.6-million metric tons (mt), according to customs information, which was a marginal increase over the 43.8 million mt reported in May. For the first half of 2024, Chinese coal imports were up 12.5% from 2023.
