Alliance Resources’ Tunnel Ridge mine received a Top Performers Award for the low seam category (less than 72 in.). Tunnel Ridge produced 9.9 million raw tons in 2014 and they had a productivity level of nearly 32,500 raw tons per day (tpd).
Foresight Energy’s Mach No. 1 mine won the medium seam category (72-96 in.). The Mach mine produced 11.9 and 12 million tons in 2014 and 2013, respectively, with productivity levels of 47,600 and 46,000 raw tpd. Foresight Energy’s Deer Run mine won the high seam award (96 in. and greater). Deer Run produced 8.7 and 7.6 million raw tons with a productivity level of 39,500 and 33,100 raw tpd.
