Indonesia to Exceed Coal Output on Favorable Weather

Indonesia, the world’s largest exporter of thermal coal, expects to exceed production targets for this year by up to 8% due to a mild El Niño and dry weather that will help to optimize the extraction rate.
The World Bank has scrapped its plan to finance the resource rich Thar coal project by extending technical assistance worth $20 million to $25 million.
