The CPSA has issued a call for papers for CoalProTec. The format for the new event will be similar to Coal Prep. According to Mel Laurila, executive director of the CPSA, the association selected the name with the object of including areas outside those of traditional coal beneficiation, such as material handling and some aspects of coal transportation and utilization.

“The opening day of the event will allow exhibitors time to set up and the CPSA will hold educational workshops for prep plant operators,” Laurila said. “Day two and three will consist of a keynote session and three technical sessions with presentations on improving coal processing and handling operations.”

The CPSA plans to host CoalProTec every two years. For more information, check out the website or contact Mel Laurila: qcinc@aol.com.
